We are proud to offer assistance at no charge for groups hosting their reunions, sporting tournaments, meetings or tours in the Santa Maria Valley. Groups selecting Santa Maria as their host city can rely on our help from the moment the meeting is confirmed right through to the closing session.
Welcome and Recognition Program
The Bureau is excited to provide complimentary services to assist with your event. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome Bags featuring souvenir items and tourist information for your attendees.
- Welcome Banner to hang at your registration table or banquet room
- Letter of Welcome from our Mayor
- Blank name badges and holders for attendees (up to 1,000)
- Registration assistance on the opening day of your meeting
- Press releases to the media announcing your event
- Banquet planning referrals for caterers and entertainment

- Special Projects Grant: marketing assistance available for events being held in the Santa Maria Valley*
Site Selection
Let us make suggestions on venues in our area based on your needs. Our Bureau will contact local hoteliers for rate and availability information on your behalf. Planning a site visit? Let us know two weeks ahead of time, and we will escort you around town and assist in making arrangements for your stay.

Team Building
Santa Maria is a great location for team-building activities! Bond around a bonfire with s’mores and songs at a nearby beach, arrange a private bowling or softball tournament, solve a murder mystery during dinner at a historic landmark or take a tour of our beautiful Central Coast in a limousine while participating in a team scavenger hunt. Add something unique to your meeting by having our famous Santa Maria Style Barbecue served at your event by one of the many barbecue houses or caterers in our area.
