A Step Back in Time
 
9:30 a.m. Depart for Los Olivos
10 a.m. Arrive at the Clairmont Farm Lavender Company

Visitors will see six acres of organically grown grosso lavender plants, lavender products, the still for making lavender oil and the horses. This farm is open year-round Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Best to visit May through October.

11 a.m. Depart for Solvang
11:15 a.m. Arrive at the Quicksilver Miniature Horse Ranch

Quicksilver welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Informational tours include the history of the breed; the process of husbandry, viewing of the trophy room, showing information, tour of the barn, breeding and foaling process

Go back in time and revisit California’s early history. La Purisima Mission is the most restored and furnished example of Spanish Colonial Mission architecture on the West Coast. The tour covers almost one mile and includes steps and uneven ground. The visitors will be divided into three groups and given a history of La Purisima and the mission system by costumed docents.
Costumed docents will serve lunch. Local wines available upon request.

2:30 p.m. Depart for Vandenberg Air Force Base
3:00 p.m. Arrive at the Visitor Center, Vandenberg Air Force Base, in Lompoc

Group tours of the Base are available for groups of 15 or more on a case-by-case basis to coordinate dates with launches or missions schedule -- security conditions and mission permitting. Tours are available Monday through Thursday only (unless Monday is a holiday) between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit the Heritage Aerospace Museum, space launch complexes, Korean War Memorial, Minuteman Missile I display and more. Three weeks advance notice required. Restrictions apply and reservations are required.

5:00 p.m. Arrive at the Museum of Flight for a tour and catered dinner
